Laney offer any beginner bassist the solid yet affordable backup they need in the form of their LX-Series amps. The LX15B Black is simply a great little 15 Watt combo bass amplifier loaded with two 5 inch Custom Drivers that shape enough low-end and more than enough power and punch. In terms of volume, this practice amp is just as comfortable in your bedroom as it is in the rehearsal room, and to help nail those riffs and lines, you can plug your phone or another external audio player into the fitted aux input and play along with all your bass heroes.

This amp doesn't end there. Once you're plugged in, you can find your own signature sound by tweaking the bass, middle and treble controls found lined up along the front panel, and by hitting the Shape button, the mid-range frequencies are given a nice boost. Naturally, you get control over the volume, but you also get full control over the Gain, which can be pushed into a higher setting to add a sweet, rough edge to your sound. Another great bonus considering the price of this little amp is the Comp button, which switches on the built-in compression to even out the volume of every note you play, while adding some extra punch - a really useful feature if you want to get into slap bass techniques. Basically, however you set up your new practice partner, you'll get the full flavour and support of genuine Laney tone.
